Kew Gardens Industry Project

Plantopedia  aims to shed light on the invasive plant species found in the UK, with the goal of fostering greater environmental awareness and understanding of biodiversity loss. By developing a children’s encyclopaedia on invasive plants, Plantopedia, and a complementary educational website, I hope to spark both knowledge and engagement in the initiative to protect our ecosystems. The risograph’s imperfect, yet vibrant style aligns perfectly with the organic, friendly tone of the book and the website combines these elements with more realistic content to encourage action and provide practical tools for identifying invasive species. Ultimately, this project seeks to inspire a new generation of environmental advocates, empowering local communities to actively engage in the preservation of their natural surroundings and cultivate a deeper connection to nature.
